Our story

A Bordeaux dry cleaner since 1958.

It all starts in 1958: a dry-cleaning shop opens in Bordeaux. The neighbourhood changed, the shop fronts changed, the business stayed. We are still there, at 180 Cours de la Marne, a stone's throw from Saint-Jean station.

In 1966 we entered into a partnership with a specialist company that took over our laundry work and, above all, washes and cleans the rugs our customers entrust to us. That partnership has never been broken. Sixty years on, it is the same partner, an expert in rug washing, who handles the many rugs and tapestries brought to us.

Few businesses can say as much. A working relationship that has lasted since 1966 means know-how passed down on both sides — and it is the reason we have never needed to look elsewhere.

A rug is not a garment. It is washed flat, dusted before anything else, and dried under controlled conditions — otherwise it grows mould underneath or keeps a smell. None of that happens in the back room of a dry cleaner, and we have always preferred to say so rather than pretend.

That is why your rug is entrusted to our partner workshop: people whose only trade this is, with the equipment and the space it requires. You deal with one contact only — us — from the first call to the moment you get your rug back.

Our craft

Expertise devoted to rugs.

A dry cleaner since 1958, we stopped trying to do everything ourselves very early on: rugs go to people who do nothing else. Every piece entrusted to us gets a precise assessment: type of fibre, type of dye, fragility, stains and odours. We then choose the most suitable method — hot water extraction for heavily soiled rugs, hand washing for silk and valuable pieces, targeted disinfection for homes with children or pets.

Our goal never changes: to revive the colours and the material without ever being harsh on the rug, and to return it clean, deodorised and free of dust mites.

We work in Bordeaux and across the metropolitan area : we collect your rug from your home, it is cleaned by our partner workshop, then we deliver it back to you clean and dry. 180 Cours de la Marne, 33800 Bordeaux, in the Saint-Jean station area, Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm. You can drop your rug off there or ask for a home collection.
